Nigel Stokes - Pastor

Nigel is the pastor of Emmanuel Epsom. He is married to Jo and they have four children.

Nigel comes from a Civil Engineering background (which he studied at Kingston Uni) but left that in order to teach in Epsom and Surbiton for ten years.

In 2008, Nigel and his family moved to the States so he could train for three years at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. On their return to the UK, Nigel became the Assistant Pastor of a church in Crawley where he served for another three years until he packed up his belongings yet again to move back to Surrey and head up the Epsom church plant. 

Nigel enjoys family walks and is a keen but struggling golfer who has been known to don his Lycra and cycle around Surrey every so often. You’ve been warned!
